Chico Mattoso is the author of two novels, Far from Ramiro (2007) and Never goes away (2011). In 2012 he was selected as one of the “Best Young Brazilian Writers” by the British magazine Granta. In 2018, he co-created the TV series First Time Parents (Globo TV), and in 2019, he was the head writer and co-creator of Joint Venture / Pico da Neblina, which is currently on HBO Max. He is a graduate of Northwestern University’s MFA in Writing for the Screen and Stage program.
